Project Toxic
This guitar started with two basic ideas. One was to make the paint color look very bright and have it be mottled instead of one solid color. Two was to make some sort of container with liquid in it to go with the toxic waste theme.

The guitar started out with the body and neck from a black Premier Strat copy. The body was cut to give it a more interresting shape, and the pickguard was cut and re-beveled to match. We also relocated the jack from the standard Strat-style position to the side, more like you would find on a Les Paul. This gave more surface to glow with the paint finish.

The liquid was found in a bottle of Ajax, which we thought had a nice neon glow to it. A clear plastic box was found and the Ajax was sealed inside. (Trust us, this'll never leak.) Then we made custom pieces for the back of the box and a bezel for the front, as well as a custom touch for the trem cover. All the plastic parts were given a silver finish. Custom knobs and socket-cap screws finish off the accessories.
The lizard skin paint finish was a multilayer process starting with bright yellow, and then green paint was shot through netted fabric, and finally topped off with transparent neon green before being clear coated. And yes, it really does look like that in real life. =o)
