Configuring BeOS 3.1 for connecting to MSC PPP server.  This setup was 
done on a PowerMac clone, but should be the same on Intel boxes.

1.  Open the Network preferences.
2.  Click on "Add Interface..."
3.  Choose PPP
4.  Set "Domain Name" to mesa5.mesastate.edu
5.  Set "Primary Server" to 192.70.203.2
6.  Set "Host Name" to BeOSNet
7.  Set "Router" to 255.255.255.255
8.  Click "Save" and restart networking
9.  In the "Network Interfaces" box, double click on the PPP selection to 
open PPP settings box.
10.  Set "Obtain from server" in IP Address box.
11.  In "Connection Settings," choose Dialup, set phone number to 241-
2209, then choose your modem from the pop-up menu
12.  Set port for your modem and its maximum speed in Serial Settings box 
(fastest allowed).
13.  In Server Settings, select Standard PPP in Server type, enter your 
username and password as you log onto mesa5.
14.  In Debug Settings, check "Display chat when connecting."
15.  Click on "Set."
16.  Back in the Network window, click on "Save" and restart networking.
